Our signature ‘Nutritious Tiffin Contest’ was held Online in September 2021 as we observed ‘National Nutrition Week’ This contest was open for both Moms and Dads of our school and received a great response. The contest was conducted in two rounds and the final round was judged by city based renowned Chef- Nandita Karan from The Lalit, Chandigarh.

Our Gurukulites of grade IV observed First Aid Day and demonstrated various first aid and life saving skills during a live session and emphasized on the importance of how everyone needs to be capable to administer basic assistance to any person suffering from minor or serious injury or illness to be able to save lives.

Our students of grade V celebrated ‘Hind ki Bindi’ to mark ‘Hindi Diwas’ wherein they beautifully showcased the rich heritage of our Hindi language and culture. The students dressed up in various literary characters portrayed the role of famous sages and poets of the past and shared their famous literary work.

Our little Gurukulites are our pride and to appreciate each and every one of them, Children`s Day was celebrated at The Gurukul Zirakpur. All the children dressed up in their best, enjoyed fun-filled activities specially arranged by their teachers, who shared their heartfelt messages through videos!

The Gurukul Zirakpur, celebrated World Postal Day. The students of Grade-1 created beautiful collages on different types of Indian and International Postal Stamps and presented history and the origin of each stamp too. The students were motivated to adopt ‘Philately’ as their hobby.

Students of The Gurukul, Zirakpur paid their tribute to the Real Frontline Heroes of the Pandemic-Doctors and Medical Personnels, by conducting a Special Assembly. All the students participated enthusiastically and conveyed their thanks to the entire Medical Fraternity through songs, dances and slogans.

This session, the students were introduced to a new concept of Think – Pair – Share (TPS) Competitions wherein students of classes III to VIII got a chance to collaborate and share their ideas and inputs on various environment related topics and present them beautifully through models, posters and presentations. Our first round of TPS competitions held in May was a great success and we eagerly look forward to many more.

The popular saying that books are a man`s best friend was beautifully showcased by our little Gurukulites of Class III on the occasion of World Book Day. In today’s world when everything is getting digitalised, our students reintroduced us to the various types of books and emphasized on how reading for pleasure can lead to future success.

On the occasion of Earth Day, our students of Class V took it upon themselves to sensitise everyone on this grave issue and encourage all of us to act upon it immediately, so that we can leave behind a beautiful planet for our future generations to cherish.

The academic session of 2020-21 ended on a great note inspite of all the challenges this pandemic threw at us. The students of classes Pre-Nursery to V celebrated their Achievement Days in March 2021 by showcasing through various themes, all that they had learnt throughout the session.
